5 Slices

when the students of Brighton came for visit, i told them that anything that they wanted to send us that we would hang up on the walls for all to see. Well, Simon Barna is the first. He made a zine of the trip with photos from himself, Tom Hutchinson and MarcRoy Smith. Thanks Dudes, much appreciated.

Make Mag

Make Mag

A while back, Make Magazine approached us to see if we would allow them to document their DIY screenprinting tutorial at our shop. Of course we said Yes, then Craft mag was born and it was published there instead. I missed the article till last night when i came across it partially online. I'm not sure if this issue is still available on the newstand, but the one thing about Make and Craft is that no one throws them away.

Glen Park Festival

the 10th annual Glen Park Festival happens this weekend

...we love local neighborhood festivals....and we 'heart' vanessa, so we sponsored this/took out an Ad in their advertisements...best of luck and if there is a throw the ball to dunk the old man sitting over a big tank of water booth, we're there with dollars in hand

Soon

As one of our main salesperson said to us today,"You guys would be the only people in San Francisco doing this". That's great and all, but we aren't quite ready to announce what we are up to yet. We're still in testing mode but so far it looks super promising and feesl even softer then we hoped.

The Hole and the Orange Vests

All last week, THEY had signs all out in front of the shop saying that we can't park here till THEY are finished, well from what i can tell THEY is really only one dude in a backhoe, the rest are there for support. What i was told is that the neighbor's fire sprinkler demands a dedicated water intake, hence the un-earthed pipe. In order to make that connection, the water dept would have to come out and dig up the street and run a pipe into there shop at the tune of $18,000...ouch

Bike (part 2)

Picked up my frame today from Box Dog and headed on down to Bonk's for a sandblasting. Note: Samantha is putting a fixie together. She brought her frame in the other day and paint job on it got jacked up something terrible. She hadn't even put any of the parts on it yet and the frame was all scratched to hell. Everyone around here felt terrible because she has been putting so much effort ($$$) into it. Sam's pretty quiet, but you could tell that she was pretty upset about the whole thing. Well, Sam you get an A for effort, but i just sandblasted that sucker to a clean start. Consider it a Do-Over and i got your back this time.
